The Regional Snapshots provide an insight into four key areas of sustainability focus for the Australian Capital Region (ACR):
- Resilient Communities – Creating the Future
- Land Management – Protecting Our Land Resources
- Renewable Energy – Opportunities for Reducing Carbon Emissions
- Water – Managing with Less
The snapshots present information about renewable energy, water use and management, land resources and community adaptation to climate change. They also highlight local initiatives developed in response to these challenges. Finally, the snapshots suggest ways in which Councils might play an enhanced role in advancing Regional sustainability into the future.
