What the results tell us for Cootamundra

Cootamundra Shire is in both the Murrumbidgee and Lachlan Catchment Management Authorities. No data was available for surface water quality for the current reporting period in Cootamundra Shire.

The Shire has commenced a partnership project with the Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority to reduce the amount of salt being mobilised from Bradman Oval into Muttama Creek. The project received $155,000 from the Australian and NSW Governments National Action Plan for Salinity and Water Quality, with Cootamundra Shire Council contributing $35,000 of in-kind support. Murrumbidgee Catchment Management Authority has also formed partnerships with 11 other local councils across the Murrumbidgee catchment to tackle urban salinity.
